Dear Diary,

Tuesday 10th October 2017

Where on earth have the last 4 months gone?! We have been so busy that I haven’t had the time you keep you all updated, and for that I apologise. It has been such an educational time, and although I can’t honestly say that everything has gone smoothly, or even well, I can say that we have learnt so much that even the less-than-desirable experiences will be beneficial in the end. Although I seem to have been saying this for months, we are one step away from completing our grid connection, and two weeks away from bagging our first batch of products for sale. We have everything crossed that we can start running flat out by the end of this month, start selling our fantastic products shortly thereafter, and revisit the community energy scheme not long after that. Please, you keep everything crossed for us too!!

It’s July in a few days. I cannot believe how quickly the time is flying. I have, today, made a booking with The Telegraph cafe to host our open days on the morning of 12th August and the evening of 16th August. The plan is that we will provide any interested parties with tea and cake whilst we talk to them about who we are, what we’re all about and how we can make a difference to the community and each individual member, as well as the environment as a whole. It’s such a fantastic opportunity to make ourselves known and explain the fantastic opportunities that we’re offering. I can’t wait to meet everyone and get talking! We’re hoping to make an appearance at the Llangadog Show as well, which we’re looking forward to. So many people to meet! In the meantime, work to complete the grid connections, obtain all of the certification that we need and tweek the tweekable continues. Slowly, Slowly…

After months of experimentation, trial and error and the resulting repair work, we are finally at the stage where we can switch on and stay switched on. This is a massive achievement for all involved (you know who you are!) And I have to say thank you for doing such fantastic work. Most significantly we’ve proven that it works, which is something of a relief. We just have the official stuff to finish off, more of a challenge than we anticipated , but there is light at the end of the tunnel, and it is biogas powered!

Again another month has flown by and I have been too busy to share our news. The biggest and most recent development is that we have produced gas! We currently have a whole host of plumbers and electricians working on the final connections so that we can start turning our gas into electricity, and we have been speaking to various potential partners and customers, opening up new and exciting markets for our products. These are such thrilling times, and we are so close. I can’t wait until we have more to tell you.
